‘Gossip Girl’ Star Will Play Jeff Buckley in Biopic
“Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley has been cast as Jeff Buckley in a new movie based on the late singer’s relationship with his folk singer father Tim Buckley. The story will follow Jeff Buckley from his breakthrough performance at a tribute concert for his father, who abandoned him as an infant and died from a drug overdose in 1975, on through the singer’s tragic drowning death at age 30 in 1997.” Read the whole story here!

Amy Winehouse cancels European Tour

Amy Winehouse has canceled her European summer tour following a trainwreck performance in Belgrade, Serbia on Saturday in which the the singer showed up an hour late, stumbled around the stage, clashed with her bandmates, slurred her words while attempting to sing her hits and tossed a shoe out into the audience. Here’s something you don’t see every day: Eddie Veddar, front man of grunge band Pearl Jam, launched his album Ukulele Songs. And, as the title says, it features plenty of beautyful songs written and performed on the ukulele. The single Longing to Belong is beautifully accompanied by a cello.
Incubus will release their new album If not now, when? next week. Here’s a making of video of the single Promises, Promises. It’s surprisingly soft, with a lot of untypical piano. And Brandon Boyd’s mustache is also a bit disturbing… a whole new Incubus awaits us, that’s for sure.
